In conjunction with the National Gallery of Australia exhibition ATUA: Sacred Gods of Polynesia is the Atua Pacific Community Celebration Day. As a guest speaker, I’ve been invited to give a presentation as part of the forum Atua: A continuum.

Forum: Atua: A continuum
10.00 am – 2.00 pm | Presented in conjunction with the Atua: Scared Gods from Polynesia exhibition this forum explores the traditions of Pacific Culture, scared spaces in contemporary pacific art and contemporary community connections. Guest speakers from around the nation discuss the Atua exhibition and the rich living cultures of the Pacific Region.
Atua: Polynesian community celebration
2.00–4.00 pm | Featuring performance from the local Tongan community, dance theatre by Lisa Fa’alafi of Polytoxic from Brisbane and the energy of Samoan dance with Tama Tatau from Melbourne.
